Compact Vintage Burr Elm Military Campaign Chest of 3+2+1 Drawers, 1940s/50s
A truly stunning and well made piece, dating to circa 1940-1950, its a one piece campaign chest in Elm which has a wonderful patina throughout, the handles are all original brass.
As referenced in the title the chest is compact - as you would expect from a campaign piece - and it has the three over two over one formation as apposed to the basic four which is a nice feature making the drawers more suitable for a variety of items.
The condition is very good, there are some age and use related patina marks and some possible historic repairs but mostly it is in fine order, and these in no way detract from the functionality and aesthetic appeal of this item.
We have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom.
