G Plan from the Fresco range designed by VB Wilkins Long John teak sideboard.
This vintage sideboard is one of the classic mid century sideboards. It was designed by Victor Wilkins for G-Plan in the 1960s and has great retro style.
Two double cupboards either side of a central bank of drawers offer ample storage space.
Those famous Fresco range handles look super on the drawer fronts and the cupboard shelves are removeable – ideal if you’d like to use the cupboard spaces to store bottles or to house your vinyl collection.
British furniture designer Victor Bramwell (V.B.) Wilkins is best known for his Fresco range for G-Plan. Although all of Wilkins known works were produced by G-Plan, there is little biographical information available on the designer.
It can be assumed, however, that he worked as an in-house designer for the British manufacturer for many years.
This sideboard is the 7ft long version which is often referred to as a long John.
Dimensions : 214 cm long - 80 cm height - 46 cm deep
Condition: Excellent condition - with only minor surface marks to the sideboard top. But these are hardly visible and do not affect the overall aesthetic appeal or functionality of this beautiful item.
