Vintage 1930s Oak Tallboy Wellington Chest of 8 Drawers
A good looking commercial piece likely used in an office for the storage of paperwork etc we have a tall oak chest of 8 drawers in classic 1930s British style with its 8 drawers opening by way of these well shaped long oak handles, panelled sides and an angled uniform shape to the frame.
It survives in good order and has enjoyed a sensible hand repolish in our workshop to highlight the oak and veneer and finished with a light beeswax for protection and sheen.
All 8 drawers are running well and the runners have been waxed, there are a few old ink marks in one drawer echoing its past but otherwise neat and clean - ready for use. Expect a chest with day to day marks but nothing nasty. It sits firm with no wobbles or repairs.
A rather good piece of 1930s British office furniture in oak.
