1930S Modernist Art Deco Oak Cabinet With Drawers
Super 1930s Modernist Art Deco glazed Cabinet with Drawers C.1935
Definitely a cut above the rest of its type with some great modernist lines, 2 useful little drawers, panelled sides and cupboard doors and of a good light tone to the English oak. Also well made with oak liners, good joints and well planned craftsmanship.
Condition wise it sits in good historic order - a few light marks to the smooth solid oak top, no cracks or splits to the sides or front.
Both drawers are clean and running smoothly, the thick glass doors to the upper cabinet are sliding as they should and all the appropriate parts have the original lozenge shaped oak handles. Makers badge to the back and very much in the manner of Heal’s in style and quality.
A lovely and highly placeable piece C.1930s which are getting more difficult to source in smart condition.
Dimensions: 76 cm height - 41 cm deep - 101 cm wide
